Air Can Service Explained
Your rear shock is an integral part of the bike, soaking up the big hits, but also keeping your rear tire in contact with the ground for maximum traction and control. Rear suspension is every bit as important as the front. If you are experiencing air pressure loss, this routine service also takes care of that issue.
- removal of lower chassis for cleaning
- replacement of main fork seals/wipers
- inspection of bushings, and all moving parts
- new external crush-washer/retainer
- replacement of suspension fluid
- reassembled and torqued to manufacturer specifications
Complete Overhaul Explained
Is your rear shock experiencing a noticeable loss of performance? This full overhaul includes the air can and common wear points within the damper
- Remove and inspect main air-can
- Disassemble and inspect shock damper
- Replace all piston seals and glide rings
- Replace rebound and compression knob seals where applicable
- Replace IFP seals where applicable
- Replace fluid and reassemble to manufacturer torque specification
- Replace all air seals and glide rings
- Inspect DU bushings and hardware
- Replace air-can fluid, and reassemble
- Replace DU bushings where applicable
- Inflate air spring and function test shock
