SERVICE FAQs

How do I know if my fork/shock/seatpost needs service?

Oil leaks, loss of air pressure, reduction in travel, unresponsive controls, unusual noises, and back-and-forth play are all signs that the suspension product needs attention. As a general rule, it is recommended to replace oil after every 50 hours of ride time.

How much does your service cost?

Our flat rate pricing includes all the most common wear items, bushings, and seals, plus labor. To see pricing, visit our Suspension Service page and follow the links provided for your specific suspension component’s make and model. If you can’t find what you are looking for, please feel free to call us at 505-473-5092.

What if repairs are needed beyond what was originally quoted?

Should we discover internal damage or a component that is worn beyond manufacturer tolerances, we will contact you for approval on any additional charges before they are incurred.

How to ship...

Once we have approved your request for an appointment for repair, we will send instructions for delivery to the Manticore repair facility nearest you (Reno, NV or Santa Fe, NM). Simply place the approval form inside your box, and write your RA number on the outside, before handing to your favorite shipper.

Do you do custom tuning?

We perform rider optimization, and also performance tuning. Rider optimization uses spring preload and damper adjustments, as well as oil viscosity changes to fine tune your shock for your weight and riding style – it’s part of our typical service, at no extra charge. Alternatively, performance tuning is more involved, where we make changes to internal valving or install aftermarket upgrades to allow the rider to get the most out of their investment – available for an additional fee.

Do you provide services outside of the USA?

Manticore suspension repair service is limited to addresses within the 48 lower US states.

Do you service moto components?

Manticore only services bicycle suspension products.

When will I get my fork/shock/seatpost back?

We strive for a turnaround time of 1 week, starting the day after we receive your suspension component at our facility. For an additional fee, we can offer 24 hour rush service.

What if a part is out of stock?

Please know that while we have deep stock of the most common repair items on hand, we cannot anticipate unexpected repair needs. We will always do our very best to communicate with you up front about any delays.

What is your warranty?

Manticore offers a 90 day warranty on labor, and manufacturers warranty on replacement parts. All components are tested for function before they leave our repair facility, and should arrive at your door in the same condition. We always pack orders securely to ensure your item arrives safely. We suggest that you inspect your package upon delivery and log any external carton damages with the carrier in case there is a need to make a claim. For more fine print, please see our ‘Warranty & Returns‘ page.
