Lower Leg Service Explained

Your fork is working hard every minute you are on the bike, there is no better way to prevent costly internal damage than this routine lower leg service. We replace the lower seals and clean out the lower legs (which are typically filled with grit, dirty oil and other undesirables.) While we have your fork apart, we give everything else a close look for signs of possible damage:

  • removal of lower chassis for cleaning
  • replacement of main fork seals/wipers
  • inspection of bushings, and all moving parts
  • new external crush-washer/retainer
  • replacement of suspension fluid
  • reassembled and torqued to manufacturer specifications

Full Overhaul Explained

This is the recommended 100 hour service recommended by most suspension manufacturers. It's a full teardown and refresh.

  • Removal of lower chassis for cleaning
  • Replacement of main fork seals/wipers
  • Inspection of bushings, and all moving parts
  • Removal, inspection and cleaning of all air and/or mechanical spring parts
  • Replacement of all air seals and manufacturer suggested lubes and fluids
  • Removal, inspection, and cleaning of all damper components
  • Replacement of all damper seals, glide rings, and fluid
  • New external crush-washer/retainer
  • Replacement of lower leg suspension fluid
  • Reassembled and torqued to manufacturer specifications
